SCBWI conference

In today's mail, I got an ad for this year's SCBWI conference. It's in Los Angeles (I think they always have it there). I'd love to go, but it's out of our reach financially, I have a newborn baby, and my manuscript isn't done (and will it be done by August? not likely). They have some VERY cool people on the faculty this year. We're talking Newbery-award winning authors, editors at Random House and other well-known publishers, agents from famous agencies...it's hard to imagine how they'll beat this year's lineup next year. But going this year doesn't make any sense. So here's to 2010.
