Why women are better writers than men

Can we say multitasking? Here's me at a writing group meeting. One on the shoulders, one coloring behind me. You do what you gotta do.

I'm impressed also. But its so true--when a man is a full-time writer, he can devote that time completely to writing. Women, on the other hand, don't seem to get that luxury. I guess men just weren't cut out to multitask for some reason. For example, I'm working tomorrow, so I suggested to David that he take the kids somewhere fun during the day, and he just gave me this blank stare. And then I remembered, "oh yeah, that's right. I'm lucky if the kids are fed and dressed in the 8 hours I'm gone." Sometimes I wish I wasn't such a good mulitasker too!

This reminds me of the time I threw a writing book (written by a man, of course) across the room in disgust. His advice about finding time to write didn't really take into account all the tasks I had to do on a daily basis.

I have a Creative Writer award for you today at my blog.
